About me
John Felton is CEO of Southern Chautauqua FCU. Located in western New York, the Credit Union is approaching $160 million in assets, serves 19,000 members and 80 staff members that operate 5 full-service branches and 4 high school, student-staffed branches.
John has been instrumental in establishing Southern Chautauqua FCU as the only Community Development Financial Institution (CDFI) Credit Union in Chautauqua County, which is one of the poorest counties in New York State. Under John’s leadership, the Credit Union has received many awards and has been recognized in New York State and at the national level. Most recently, Southern Chautauqua FCU was featured in Filene's research study highlighting the remarkable performance of small credit unions across the nation.
John lives in Lakewood, NY with his family and enjoys traveling, family time, and the occasional golf game.
